     Women in science, mathematics or engineering and students interested
in those disciplines are encouraged to join a newly established network
to help them progress in their careers.

WISENET/Midwest is a Midwest network that promotes women and girls of
diverse backgrounds in science, mathematics and engineering.

Its objectives include:
 - to improve access to careers and advancement in science and engineering
   for girls and women of diverse backgrounds
 - to support research and analysis of recruitment and retention strategies
 - to maintain a database of resources and information about women
   scientists and engineers in the midwest
 - to serve as a communication link among midwest groups and individuals
   interested in women in science and engineering.

This mail list has been established as one means of communication.

It is available to anyone with access to electronic mail (E-mail).
