THE WHITE HOUSE Office of the Press Secretary ________________________________________________________________________ For Immediate Release August 15, 1994 PRESIDENT NAMES FIVE MEMBERS OF THE NATIONAL COMMISSION FOR EMPLOYMENT POLICY President Clinton today announced his intention to appoint five members of the National Commission for Employment Policy. Clayola Brown is International Vice President and a member of the Executive Board of the Amalgamated Clothing and Textile Workers Union. She also serves as the Manager and Secretary-Treasurer of the Amalgamated Service Board of the Amalgamated Bank of New York. Additionally, she is the Director of the union's Civil Rights department and Chair of the NAACP's Labor Ad Hoc Committee. The National Commission for Employment Policy was established in order to examine the development, coordination, and administration of employment and training programs, and to advise the President and the Congress on national employment and training issues.
