Without early adopter projects at the University of Maryland, MITH would not have been made possible. These projects remain active and continue to serve as mentors and guides for MITH projects. Two in particular maintain workstations in MITH and regularly offer their expertise in coding, scanning, and organization and thus work collaboratively with MITH projects. The Electronic Literature Organization, which allowed us to expand our interests in creative new media, moved to MITH from its previous base at UCLA in 2006.
