Introduction

Welcome to the Consortium on Race, Gender and Ethnicity’s Intersectional Research Database. This searchable database contains a wealth of scholarship that examines the intersections of race, gender, ethnicity and other dimensions of social difference. The database is interdisciplinary and, as such, contains research by scholars in the social sciences, arts and humanities, law, medicine and many more fields. The goal of this project is to provide a free, online service to a community of scholars whose research focuses on how intersections of difference construct and shape everyday life. The database is made up of more than 100 annotations of articles and books related to intersectional research, and will grow to include video, sound and visual images. Please take some time to explore the database, and visit often, as the amount of material in the database will be continually expanding.

To navigate the Intersectional Research Database, use the menu bar on the left hand side of this screen.

"Search Tips" contains useful information on how to make the most of your database searches.
